Hi my name is Myra and my dog is a Pomsky called Buddy.

I have owned and loved dogs all my life, when our family dog died at the ripe old age of 17, my dad promised me a German Shepherd when I turned 16. Unfortunately, this never happened so as soon as I was old enough to move out, I got my very own! I have owned dogs ever since. 

In my early 20s I worked for the RSPCA and I loved it. I was going out on rescues/releases in the evenings also hand rearing furry and feathered babies too.  

Most of my life I have thought about dog walking/pet sitting but never had the courage to leave the safety of the NHS. That is until I got Buddy. You see, Buddy hates to be left alone, I even have to take him to the shop with me. Luckily, they all know him, so they let me in with him, thank you Mr Shopkeeper. 

What better way than to keep Buddy happy than to take him to work with me? So I bit the bullet, left the NHS and started up Buddys Doggy Walks. We are now both happy.

  • Where are you based?

    I'm based on Rowntree Avenue, York. I regularly travel to customers in Acaster Malbis, Huntington, Acomb, Clifton and New Earswick.



  • What times of day can you do dog walks?

    I am very flexible and can cater to you and your dog's needs. However, I do like to walk a mixture of dogs together. If you have a special requirement where your dog needs to be walked with only one other dog I can offer this too. 


    As my dog, Buddy is my work partner, he likes to oversee the operations!

  • Is your dog friendly around other dogs?

    Yes, my dog Buddy is super friendly and loves interacting with other dogs and people.

I understand that dogs are as unique as their owners which is why I offer a meet and greet service first. Buddy and I will visit you at home to help us get to know each other personally.

To keep things interesting, I'll switch  the locations for each dog walk.
